French-language literature and education.

The Angsoeng Library hopes to maintain a small collection of French-language books. While English continues to bypass French as the secondary language of choice, some schools only offer their classes in French.

France and Cambodia are linked by almost nine decades of colonial rule. While overtaken by English, French remains a popular language in the country (particularly among older citizens). Cambodians hope to maintain the French language as part of their culture, according to a recent article in The Christian Science Monitor.
