Geographic materials

The Angsoeng Library wants maps, globes, atlases and other geographic materials to give Cambodians a guide to the world. Founder Chandara Lor said he would post the maps on the library's walls as a quick reference to students.

“I want our readers not only to know about their own country but also all countries, the world and various religions and cultures in all continents,” he said. “Of course, I don't think people here can travel those countries physically but they can emotionally, through reading.”

So along with the above materials, travel guides, guides to world religions and similar books would also be accepted. Among the books already collected include Facing the Congo by Jeffrey Tayler (right) and In Siberia by Colin Thubron.

Because of the constant changes in boundaries and nations, we send only the most recent geography books.
