‘Cambodian Expressions’ Festival Opens This Week
It’s the first year for this Cambodian-American art and film festival, which runs from April 2 to May 2 at Middlesex Community College in Lowell, Massachusetts. Almost every event is free and features plays, workshops and other events examining Cambodian-American life. Middlesex dean Kent Mitchell told The Lowell Sun: “We wanted to do something that would bring the old and young generations together and we wanted to include the tragic history but, during April, which is their New Year's season, also give a sense of moving beyond the history and looking to the future."
