Return of the Film Festival
In the hope of trying to get the quality to keep pace with the quantity of Khmer films, Cambodia will host its first film festival from Nov. 28 to Dec. 2. Anyone planning a trip at that time should plan to swing by.
The up-with-Cambodian-films movement has been going on for some time (and there have been other film festivals). Hopefully, they’ll allow some overseas Cambodian entries, including Refugee.

Are you also aware of the Cinema Cambodia Film Festival that Pannasastra University has put on the past two years in Phnom Penh?

The quality may be lacking now but I see it improving steadily.
Also, Cambodia is lacking content (even not quality content, there was nothing and nothing was left after the war). The content producing now could be used as fill-in to help fill Cambodia's ever increasing broadcasting. Some of these movies will be considered as Classic "B" movies in the future.
